CYBERGORE

THIS GAME IS UNFINISHED AND SHIPPED WITH A TON OF BUGS! IT WILL DEFINITELY CRASH OR GIVE YOU AN ERROR!

Cybergore is a traditional roguelike title in the vein of Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup or Cogmind, with the main method of progression being through harvesting the robotic limbs and organs of your foes. Ascend the tower while grafting hardware to your chassis, utilizing software, and acquiring abilities to gain the edge over your opponents. 

Cybergore is being developed for the GMTK24 Game Jam.

Cybergore is written in python primarily using the python-tcod/libtcod library as a starting point. Special thanks to user u/TStand90 for creating an involved tutorial for the library.

Controls:
Numpad is directional movement

5 is wait

Tilde is rest until full heal

Tab for inventory (press the letter of the item to use/equip it)

e for equipment inventory (press the letter of the item to de-equip)

g is pick up item

x to inspect

Press Shift + , (<) to ascend the staircase

HOW TO EQUIP LIMBS:
This system is not finished and is currently very janky. If you try to equip a limb that you do not have the correct socket for the game will crash :). You must equip limbs in a specific order:

1. Chassis

2. Arms/Legs

3. Hands/Feet

You cannot add another arm/leg unless you have equipped hand/foot to the last arm/leg.
